Hello! I am Ms. Enck and I am excited for this new year at Community High School!
Education I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Integrated Science from Central Michigan University. I am currently working on a second Bachelor's degree at Oakland University as well. Working Abroad Shortly after I graduated from Central Michigan University, I moved to the Czech Republic to teach English as a foreign language in Prague. While I was teaching in Europe, I was also able to travel and experience many different cultures. While I was living there, I traveled to England, Germany, Poland, and other parts of the Czech Republic. I am very passionate about being able to experience new cultures and I plan to travel to new places as soon as I can. Teaching Experience Before coming to Community High School, I worked briefly at Warren Mott High School. I also worked for Brandon High School and Ypsilanti New Tech High School. I taught Algebra 1 and 2, Biology 1, and Chemistry at those schools. I have experience teaching project-based lessons where students learn the curriculum through complex and relevant real-world applications. Students are able to explore the ways that they can actually use the information that we talk about in school. I Love to Travel! This past summer I travelled to Los Angeles and San Diego in California. I also travelled to Quito, Ecuador in South America. I was able to learn new things about Ecuadorian culture along with visiting the Galapagos Islands which the biology classes will learn about this year! |
